Surgical Procedure.

The surgery takes approximately 1 hour, is performed under local anesthesia with sedation, and is outpatient. Complete rest is recommended during the first 24 hours, sleeping with the head elevated at 45 degrees, and it's generally not necessary to remove stitches, as absorbable sutures are used in most cases.
