FACIAL PLASTIC SURGERY
Forehead reduction surgery, also known as frontoplasty, reduces the size of an elongated forehead by removing a portion of forehead skin and creating a lower hairline. The distance between the hairline and the eyebrows is effectively reduced. The degree of progress of the hair implantation line depends on variables such as the height of the line, the laxity of the scalp and the patient’s preferences. Usually, the female hairline begins between 4 and 6 cm above the eyebrows, at the transition point between the vertical forehead and where the inclination towards the scalp occurs. Frontoplasty moves the hairline to a more comfortable position for the patient, thus restoring facial harmony.
